American River Adventures in December

Since my move to Midtown in August I haven’t been back to my old neighborhood by Sac State which was right across from the Howe Avenue American River Access Park. I was fishing for adventure and realized that this park would be the closest and yet most satisfying place to go. Upon arriving at the park I beganĀ reminiscingĀ on how I used to go there almost every day, and a wave of happiness came over. There’s something about all the leafless trees, and the afternoon light in December that made everything so stunning. It’s crazy though how places that are so close can become so far away. Regardless, I’m happy that I can visit this place at me leisure and that it isn’t far away when I want to go! Enjoy the photos.

About Christina B. Thomas

I've been keeping it weird since '87. I live in the City of Trees, which more or less accurately could be called Sacramento. I am a painter of light, a cat person, and just recently have become really good at dominos. If you care to inquire more, just be my friend, and let me take pictures of you.
