The summer is here! Happy summer. Here is a scan from a roll of 120 bw film that I shot last year. I just had it developed at Cox Black and White lab in Rancho. They’re superb. Now this exposure happened … Continue reading

A few more from camping at Rollins Lake a few weeks ago. There were feathers everywhere, just sparkling in the sunshine. … we flock together.

This here is a photo I took on June 2, 2012 with my Canon 60d. My best friend Anna Miller is the subject, along with one of our favorite things… BUBBLES. How can anyone ever get tired of bubbles? They are soapy, round, reflective, beautiful, and so serene while they just float along and then POP! Anyway, that weekend I turned 25 (WOO HOO), and we were camping at Rollins Lake in Grass Valley, CA. Anna was looking pretty hip and casual just blowing bubbles in front of the lake, and luckily my camera was readily available to capture this moment. There are many more like this, but this particular shot had the nicest array of bubbles. I like to call it Bubble Action! (Which I just made up). Anyway, I went through and did all my quick edits to the shots (using camera raw), but now it’s time to open each individual one in photoshop and make it better.
Anyway, thanks Anna Miller, for loving bubbles probably more than I do, and always being such a fascinating subject!
